Invensis provides a comprehensive range of usability testing services. We can customize the tests according to the needs of our clients. There are three categories of usability testing: Explorative, Assessment and Comparative. The tests are further divided into the following kinds:
We provide both manual and automated testing for accessibility testing.
At Invensis, we use three categories of testing methods to carry out usability testing on any interface. These are:
1. Moderated In-Person
2. Moderated Remote
3. Unmoderated Remote
Variations of these methods include:
Invensis’ dedicated and experienced testing team has certain procedures in place to ensure that usability testing goes well. We will also customize the testing methodology in consultation with our clients.
During the process of testing, a representative set of users would be carrying out specific tasks using an application or software; observers would be monitoring and taking notes on the attitudes and behaviors displayed by the users while carrying out the task. Usability Testing is usually carried out starting from the design stage.
1. User Requirement Analysis:
Our testing team will determine the requirements for testing, following consultation with our client developers. They will determine the scope of the testing and the test objectives. They would identify the usability issues to be checked. The priority would be users’ needs, goals, and tasks.
2. Identification of target audience:
We will identify the target audience for the test. This may consist of one or more different user groups.
3. Creating Test Task:
We will then create a test task that represents the most important and common user goals; we would also establish criteria to determine success or failure of the test task.
4.Test Plan Creation:
Our testing team will then create the test plan based on this task.
5. Allocation of Resources for Testing:
We will then allocate the resources and the users required for the testing.
6. Execution of the Test Plan:
The test is carried out with a focus on ensuring minimal bias. The aim is to observe, monitor, and record the user behavior, attitudes, thought processes and decision-making. We will be making use of various recording software to record the test for subsequent analyses.
7. Monitoring and update:
The entire process will be monitored and the client would be informed of the progress.
On completion of the test, our testers would compile all the usability issues uncovered and determine the most critical issues based on user feedback.
9. Design and Retest:
We will submit the list of recommendations to the clients’ developer team, so that they can make the desired changes in the application/website. Retesting would be carried out at different points of the software development cycle, until all usability requirements have been met.
10. Testing Completion:
